Community running group in Philadelphia! Join us for our training runs...they are fun and open to everyone!! Totally free, great workouts with a nice group of athletes! Our Weekly Workouts: WHEN: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays WHERE: TUESDAY 6:45PM - Step Workout @ Art Museum Steps (bottom right side). WEDNESDAY 6:45PM - "Comfort Run" - Meet at the Fairmount Running Company store, 2023 Fairmount Ave THURSDAY: Has been postponed- Check back for updates. Carolyn Run, 6 AM leaves from Lloyd Hall SATURDAY: Trail Run, 9 AM Meet at the Prison at 9 AM to drive out to the Wissachickon for a 60-minute trail run. Double check for trail leader each week. WHO: Runners at all ability levels and distances. WHY: To run off the beer we drink from happy hour! Training with a social atmosphere or just to run for fun!. If you're new, bring a friend or come alone and make new friends! FAQ's -How FAR? Typically, WED and THURS runs are 4-5 miles with turn offs offered for less mileage. TUES are 1-2 total broken up with exercises. SAT trail runs are 5-7 miles -How FAST? Our paces vary from 5 min/mi to 10 min/mi, with most around 8:30-9:30. It is a wide range, so if you unsure, you can always bring a friend to keep you company. Trails will be slower, 9-12 min/mile and no person gets left behind! -What routes are the runs? Wednesdays leave from the Fairmount Running Company store, west down Fairmount Ave to Kelly Dr. out to the John Kelly statue (there's a water fountain there too) and back to the store. Some people turn around before the statue. Thursdays, out and back on Kelly Dr from Lloyd Hall or sometimes across the Ben Franklin Bridge and back. Saturdays, enter at Rittenhouse Ln near Lincoln Dr. and Wissahickon Ave intersection (the old paper mill by the creek) and run a varied route usually to Valley Green Inn and back
