Lakewood Run Club is a community running group based in Durham, NC. The club meets weekly in the Lakewood neighborhood for group runs. Runs start from the Lakewood Shopping Center. We have multiple ~5 km routes with options for extensions. We usually meet on Thursdays at 5:30 pm (and we are looking into other options for mornings too). FOCUSED ON COMMUNITY We foster community connections through the joy of running. We run together to spend time with other people. We believe running can bring people together and build bonds within the club and the wider community. ALL ABILITIES WELCOME We embrace diversity and welcome runners of all backgrounds, paces, and experience levels. We stick together on runs as much as possible. We are creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
