Are you a runner looking to improve your 5k, 10k, half, or marathon time while still having fun? Are you looking for an intermediate to advanced running group with a philosophy of training smart while staying healthy? The Winter Springs Run Club is all about filling that role. I've seen many beginner run groups that have no progression to the next level. And I've seen numerous advanced groups that are all about pushing your body too fast, too soon, or too hard. This leaves you at risk to burn out and getting injured. Health is wealth. That is one of the pillars of this running club. We welcome all ages and paces. There is no cost to sign up. However, since this is an intermediate running group, I recommend you have a solid running base of at least 15 miles per week. By doing so, you'll get the most out of this group. We are a new running group that meets 1 day a week on Saturday mornings in Winter Springs for our long run. We don't have enough runners to have multiple pace groups yet, but we are looking to change that soon. The goal of our long run is to cover the distance at conversational pace, enjoy running, and undo any poor experiences you've had. We run anywhere from 7 to 13 miles, so if you're long run is anywhere around there, I encourage you to come out. If this group gets enough interest, we will expand it to include more weekly runs, such as speed-work runs and tempo runs. We currently have a handful of people attending through word of mouth, but we decided to make this public.
